New Product: Need help with DFM and manufacture of plastic and stainless steel
I am currently testing prototypes of a product that I’d like to bring to market, and I need help with the DFM and beyond. My product will have a large plastic base and a stainless steel bowl. I don’t know what manufacturing processes will be best for the parts, or what type of plastic will be best for the base. I don’t know if one manufacturer will be able to produce both parts for me, or if I’ll need to go through two different manufacturers and have someone perform assembly. I’m looking for experienced help to guide me through the next steps in getting my product to market. The market research I’ve done shows that there’s demand for thousands of sales per month, and I’m excited to keep moving forward!

what type of plastic base are you leaning toward? we do plastics fabrication and thermoforming, but not sure if it would be a good fit. Would be interested to learn more.

I believe that it may be cost effective for me to use injection molding with polypropylene, but I will need help getting my design ready for production with this method.
